So off the bat I don't wanna be overtly negative but I'm going to be with how I'm feeling about what used to be one of my favorite franchises. Clickbait ass title aside, I actually do think Wind/Waves look pretty good. They actually are increasing the production of the new games which has been sorely needed. I won't go on my standard pokemon game rant as I've done so with probably everyone who would be reading this blog. The new one actually looks like a lived in world which is what I wanted. Unfortunately, I feel like I don't want Pokemon anymore.  Last week I brought my DS with me to Atlanta and restarted Pokemon Platinum. I replay that game every few years. It's impossible for me to look at that game without rose-tinted glasses, as I'm sure that's the case for everyone with their first pokemon game. I'm glad I did that though because it gave me a good perspective for how I feel about the series now, even in a healthier state. I will always lov...

I have quite literally never read any comic books in my life yet I claim to like superheroes.  Continuing off of my last post, I wanna catch up on more Batman stuff so in addition to the animated movie, I'm going to read The Long Halloween. I've also been recommended Year One, Dark Victory, and Catwoman as they're connected.  As for the other comic, I have heard some WILD stuff about Absolute Martian Manhunter from the Versus Wolves podcast. It's just too interesting to pass up.  So yeah, Get Into Comic Books arc starts now I guess.

I found myself in a huge mood to watch a bunch of Batman stuff. A few weeks ago, some friends on discord introduced me to what we called the "DC Animated Series Costco Sampler Platter." They showed me episodes of Batman TAS, Justice League, JLU, and Batman Beyond. I liked Batman Beyond the most. It's got such a cool style to it and it's a very different kind of Batman story compared to what I'm used to seeing. After that, I ended up watching Marcus Cosmonaut's Ultimate Batman movie review. A bunch of those movies are ones I haven't seen. I love the Dark Knight trilogy and The Batman 2022 but I hadn't seen Keaton's Batman, Forever, or any of the Adam West stuff.  I watched Batman 89 and Mask of the Phantasm on discord a few weeks ago, as well as 66 and Forever last weekend. Those movies are kind of a fever dream. They're such wild scenarios for Batman to be in compared to the dark and gritty stuff I know. 89 is sort of closer to what I know but ...

I have no intention of this ever really reaching an audience or anything. I'm not nearly important enough to warrant that. After the last few years, I've found social media very frustrating to simply be on daily. Twitter is an utter shitshow, Reddit is too specific and not very personal, and every time I open bluesky, my day gets actively worse. I've more or less abandoned those accounts. I still have them and I don't have any intention of deleting them, but I have no desire to be fed the constant noise of the world on a daily basis.  That said, I do feel like having some sort of outlet on random thoughts throughout the day. Maybe that's lingering addiction to social media but I would like a place to just yap, even if it's to the void. I don't want to use social media but I also don't want to be completely isolated. ...
